So called “Kamalnayanacharya” – which means the one who has eyes like lotus, had illegally occupied the forest area which is vital core part of Chitwan National Park as it also covers the riverside where wild animals relay for water and cooling off in summer season. The extremist ringleader has already established so called “Gajendramokshya Dhaam” which means Eleplant King Salvation Sanctuary, at the heart of Chitwan National park. The latest government decision to “remap” the national paves way to privatisation of the UN World heritage site listed Chitwan National park.
The Kantipur daily has reported that the ringleader has in fact occupied 3 times more than that has been assumed before. This has posed serious threat to already vulnerable wildlife there. Asian one horned rhino, Bengal tiger, Asian elephants, ghorial crocodile and many other endangered animals are found in Chitwan National Park and every year thousands of tourists from all around the world visit the national park. This occupation is a real threat to both wildlife and tourism an the livelihood of people living around there.
In the past, such extremist ringleaders and ex-king Gyanendra were well known in Nepal for illegal wildlife poaching and hunting. It would not be surprise if Kamalnayanacharya has a hidden business of illegal wildlife poaching to fund Islamic State style Hindu Nation Nepal agenda.
